Sacred

There was a line in a thank you letter from a client that really stayed with me:

“Midwifery at its best really is a sacred form of stewardship.”

This client experienced multiple rare and unexpected challenges throughout her pregnancy, the kind that could easily shape a very different story.

And yet, she remained positive.

What made the difference wasn’t luck.

It was time, continuity, and feeling truly supported.

I felt incredibly privileged to be part of her journey, to provide care that went beyond the clinical, and helped shape how she experienced it all.

Because maternity care isn’t just about outcomes.

It’s about experience, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

And that requires time.

It’s the reason I’ve chosen to work in a way that allows me to truly show up for the women I care for, even when it spills into my personal life.

Because this isn’t just a job.

And when care is delivered this way, it shows.
