Bloom & Grow with
Expertise & Heart

As a mum of six, I understand firsthand that no two pregnancies, births, or parenting journeys are ever the same. Alongside my professional experience as a midwife, my personal experiences of neurodivergence and raising a child with Down syndrome have shaped the compassionate, individualised care I provide to every family.

Having worked within busy hospital settings, I know how much difference continuity of care, feeling heard, and having time to talk through anxieties can make to both experiences and outcomes. My approach is rooted in building genuine relationships, creating calm within uncertainty, and ensuring families feel supported, informed, and never alone throughout their journey.

My Background

With over 15 years of experience across both hospital and community settings, I have supported families through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Alongside my NHS midwifery experience, I also worked closely with health visitors running toddler groups and supporting families within the community, giving me a deeper understanding of the realities parents face beyond the clinical setting.

Throughout my career, I have cared for women and families experiencing a wide range of journeys, from straightforward pregnancies to complex and high-risk cases. My experience includes supporting IVF and reciprocal IVF pregnancies, same-sex couples, home births, postnatal recovery, antenatal care, perinatal mental health, pregnancy after loss, stillbirth, and families expecting babies with additional needs or chromosomal differences, including Down syndrome.

While working within the NHS, I became increasingly aware of how many families were longing for more continuity, time, reassurance, and personalised support throughout pregnancy and beyond. The word “midwife” means “with woman,” and independent practice gave me the opportunity to truly return to the roots of midwifery, building genuine relationships, providing one-to-one care, and supporting families in a way that feels calm, compassionate, and individual to them.

Today, my approach combines clinical expertise with deeply personal, relationship-based care. I believe every family deserves to feel heard, informed, supported, and never alone throughout their journey into parenthood.

MIDWIFERY WITH TIME AND CONTINUITY

Why Independent Midwifery?

Continuity of Care

Imagine having a familiar midwife by your side throughout pregnancy, birth and those early days at home, someone who knows your story, understands your needs, and has the time to truly listen. Continuity of care isn’t just comforting; it improves trust, reassurance and outcomes too.

Space to be heard

Sometimes what people need most is simply time, time to ask questions, process information, feel heard, and breathe. My appointments are designed around calm, personalised support rather than rushed schedules.

Workplace Support

Pregnancy and early parenthood don’t stop when the working day begins. I work with employers to create more compassionate, supportive pathways for employees through pregnancy and beyond.
