"Jenny was honestly an absolute blessing for us! Becoming first-time parents to our beautiful baby girl was the most amazing experience… but also the most confusing, exhausting, sleep-deprived, “why is the baby crying when we’ve tried literally everything?” experience imaginable. By around 6–8 weeks postpartum, my wife and I were completely overwhelmed. Everywhere we turned, we were getting different advice from different people one person says do this, another says do the complete opposite and honestly, our brains were running on about 37 minutes of sleep and cold cups of tea. Then along came Jenny like a postpartum superhero. She came into our lives at exactly the right time, when we needed real guidance, reassurance, and someone who actually made sense. Her patience with us was incredible, never judgmental, always calm, kind, understanding, and reassuring no matter how many questions we asked (and trust me… there were A LOT). Jenny didn’t just give advice, she gave us confidence as new parents. She made us feel listened to, supported, and reassured during such an emotional and stressful time. "I honestly don’t think I could have asked for a better midwife than Jenny. She looked after me throughout my pregnancy and supported me during the home birth of my second baby in 2024, and I’ll always be so grateful for everything she did for me and my family. She was always there whenever I needed advice, reassurance, or even just someone to talk to, and she never made me feel like any question or worry was silly. We are truly lucky we chose to be under her care. Jenny’s calm, supportive and caring presence was everything and more. In the days leading up to the birth she was on hand whenever I needed her, with calm encouragement that I could do this! She made me feel safe and empowered. I needed someone to carry me through the process and give me reassurance that I was ok, she did this and more. Even on the day of our daughters birth I wasn’t sure I was going to do a home birth but once Jenny (and my other amazing midwife) arrived my body obviously felt safe, let go, and our daughter was born pretty swiftly in our bedroom. I am so grateful for the part she played in such a special experience and the place she will hold in our hearts forever. I wish everyone could experience the care that we got. During the most vulnerable time in your life, a constant, caring, calm and friendly presence is what is needed to make the whole process unforgettable in the best way. Jenny was a really special addition to our second pregnancy journey. She incredibly knowledgeable and practical, and also brings a beautiful warm energy. I actively looked forward to our appointments and it was only smiles when she knocked on our door! I experience a traumatic first birth partly due to the care at our local hospital. The empathy and kindness she brought to her care really put me at ease. At the same time, I trusted that if we went to hospital she would be a firm advocate, who understood what we need and what. I really recommend private midwives to anyone, but if you are lucky enough to bag Midwife Jen that recommendation can be multiplied x1000!
